LOCK NY is a vetted 18+ BDSM education and community organization.
Everyone goes through the same vetting process to ensure safety, respect, and privacy at all events. We never share your personal information with third parties.

Before applying, please read the full LOCK NY profile on FetLife because some details there will help you complete the vetting process.

How to Get Vetted

  • Step 1: Submit the Vetting Form

    Fill out the form below.
    We prefer attendees to be fully vaccinated with at least one booster. However, we recognize that COVID risks and documentation have changed.

    If you have a vaccination card, you may email a photo of it.
    If you do not have one, simply indicate that on the form. Your application will still be processed. Only LOCK admins will see this information, and it is kept completely private.

  • Events & Education

    Step 2: Vetting and Verification

    After we receive your form, LOCK admins review your information.
    We may check your FetLife profile to verify identity and community history.

    To help the process:

    - Fill out your FetLife “About Me”
    - Use a profile photo that is not genitalia
    - Let us know if you already know anyone in the LOCK community

    Admins will set up a Zoom Meeting with you with follow up questions to ensure a good fit.

    We reserve the right to decline applicants to maintain a safe environment.

  • Step 3: Attend Your First Event

    Once approved, you may RSVP to events.
    Please confirm your RSVP early, especially for paid events. Approved attendees receive event details by private message a few days before the event.

    For some larger events, you may be asked to take a COVID test within 24 hours. If required, instructions will be included in your event message.

    What to Bring to Your First Event

    A legal ID for identity verification. It is not copied or shared.

    Yourself. We will give you a tour and introduce you to friendly faces.

    Familiarity with dungeon rules if you are attending a play party.

    Our community is warm, welcoming, and excited to meet you.
