Who We Are

Founded in December 2020, LOCK (Lifestyle Opportunity for Community Kink) was created to fill a major gap in the Upstate New York / Albany kink community. Our mission is to offer a safe, welcoming place where adults interested in BDSM, power exchange, and kink education can connect, learn, and grow.

LOCK is a social and educational organization — not a hookup space. We focus on skill-building, personal responsibility, and creating genuine community, both in-person and online.

Note: LOCK is not a swingers group.
We are an 18+ BDSM and kink education organization centered on consent, competency, and community.

What We Offer

LOCK hosts multiple events each month, including:

  • Hands-on BDSM classes taught by experienced and internationally recognized educators

  • Rope labs, impact sessions, fire and wax demos, and other skill-building workshops

  • Monthly socials, movie nights, and discussion events

  • Community meetups, barbeques, and connection-focused gatherings

  • A thriving Discord community for vetted members

LOCK also hosts regular play parties in our 1,800 sq ft fully equipped dungeon designed for safe, consensual, and respectful play.

Our events are structured to support both newcomers exploring kink and long-time practitioners looking to deepen their skills.
